The convective ingress of radon by air pressure differences must be avoided by ensuring that connections, gaps, penetrations etc. are airtight. GasSTOP airtight sleeves have been specially developed to prevent the ingress of e.g. the radioactive noble gas radon from the foundation soil via areas in contact with the ground.

EISEDICHT GasStop
Structural gas and radon protection.
In new buildings, care should be taken to ensure that harmful gases or viruses do not enter living spaces through floor slabs, walls or ceilings. Barriers in the form of sealing measures and sufficiently thick layers of building materials must be provided to prevent the ingress of e.g. the radioactive noble gas radon from the subsoil via areas in contact with the ground.
The convective ingress of radon by means of air pressure differences must be avoided by ensuring that connections, joints, penetrations etc. are airtight.
Our EISEDICHT® GasSTOP airtight sleeves consist of an elastomer with an aluminum-butyl adhesive collar specially developed for this area of application. The special Alu-Butyl connection tape and the inside and outside corners ensure that your connections and joints are permanently and securely sealed. The GasSTOP airtight collars, internal and external corners and the Alu-Butyl connection tape are tested for radon tightness and can be used above or below floor slabs, walls or ceilings.
