The company known as Eisedicht GmbH, was founded in the year 2000 from the cellar. The idea and development of the world's first self-adhesive air sealing sleeve with grommet came from practical experience. Michael worked as a dry construction specialist and had to seal a large number of perforated cables through the airtight layer in a large construction project in the attic. This tricky challenge had to be solved with primitive materials. As the problem was often repeated on other construction sites, the solution of the self-adhesive air sealing sleeve slowly emerged.
The air sealing sleeve was developed with the vision of providing a simple and safe solution for sealing penetrations through the building envelope.
Michael not only wanted to solve the structural problems in construction, but also to create a company that offers a pleasant environment and the best possible working climate for everyone. Customers and suppliers included. EISEDICHT® values honest and fair business practices. Through this mission and the ultimate registration of this unique patent, it has not only been possible to achieve technical goals, but also to create jobs and promote energy efficiency in the construction industry.
